DANCE has always played a major role in my life. From the minute my feet touched the ground, I was always keen to move to music and I was quickly enrolled into my local dance school to take ballet lessons.
My passion for dance and the arts made me a dedicated student. Along with ballet I signed up for tap, modern, jazz and disco, drama and singing. I competed in numerous festivals gaining experience at the All England Finals. Taking on lead roles in shows at my dance school while also performing in charity productions on the West End stage. Evenings were always packed with dance classes and weekends spent rehearsing for shows, exams and competitions. I relished the chance to spend my spare time dancing.
I furthered my dance career by attending University College Chichester graduating with a BA Hons in Dance having learnt all aspects of choreography and dance.
After graduating I started to build my dance teaching career across Surrey, inspiring young ballerinas as they started their journey into the world of dance. Adding to my dance CV I later completed my teacher training in the ISTD Syllabus at the Italia Conti Arts Centre. I continue to update my training as a dance teacher with the ISTD at every opportunity by attending various courses and events.
Opening up my own school and acquiring Martin’s Heron School of Dance have both been major milestones for me in my teaching career. I now look forward to expanding the schools as I watch the pupil’s progress and further their dance education.
For me dance teaches young people so many skills that are vital for their futures and these young dancers are the building blocks for these successful schools. Whilst they will have fun in their classes they will also improve their ability to work in a team and individually as their confidence grows and they succeed. I look forward to watching my pupils excel in a happy and friendly dance school.

MISS BONNIE
Bonnie has always had a strong passion for dance, after performing and learning from a very young age and actually being an ex-student of Martins Heron School of Dance, she has always thrived to achieve the best in herself as well as her students when teaching.
After committing all her spare time on weekends and evenings at her dance school training in Tap, Modern, Ballet and Jazz, she always knew she wanted to pursue her passion into a career. After studying at The Creative Academy dance college and graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Dance in 2018, she has been continuing her dream by gaining more teaching experience and continuing to study her ISTD DDE in Modern Theatre, in which she will also complete in Tap as well as Ballet.
Bonnie has always had very high expectations of herself and has always pushed and worked to the best of her ability. She has performed on many stages and at many shows including; The Royal Albert Hall, Sadlers Wells, MOVE IT, Keith Lemon & Paddy McGuiness Picture Show, and many other productions. She has also completed all of her ISTD dance exams up to and including Advanced 2 in Tap, Modern and Ballet. Bonnie will use her determination and passion to work her students to the best of their abilities and so they achieve the best they possibly can. Bonnie takes pride in watching her learners grow into magical young performers with the same passion she always had when she was little.
MISS EMILY
Emily started dancing at the age of 2 at a local dance school where she found her love for dance. Emily at the age of 11 auditioned for the English Youth Ballet where she successfully gained a place and performed Swan Lake for several months. The following year she performed with the company in Coppélia. Emily loved panto season and in 2014 she auditioned for Cinderella, was successful, and got to share the stage with Stephen Mulhern, Ashleigh and Pudsey and Justin Fletcher (also known as Mr Tumble!).
Emily focused hard on being an all round performer through her years of training and pushed her weaknesses. Emily took part in many festivals with ballet, tap, modern and lyrical solos, duets, trios and groups and even got to perform at All England in 2016. She got overall highest modern solo award at Kingston Festival and was awarded a trophy cup with her name engraved on it.
Emily decided at the age of 16 that she would continue her studies and complete her A-Levels. In 2017 Emily attended Urdang Academy’s Pre Audition Course where she was awarded a ‘Gold Card’. This meant that Emily didn’t have to audition for the college she went straight to the final round, also free of charge. She also auditioned for Laine Theatre Arts, and Performers College gaining places at both; but her heart was set on Urdang.
Emily is now in her final year at The Urdang Academy studying a degree in ‘Professional Dance and Musical Theatre’ and is preparing for graduation and upcoming auditions.
